The Opal is a solid natural Sandstone Opal Matrix shaped and polished into a round planet like shape. Beautiful flickers of red, orange and green opal colours twinkle happily around the opal.
The Opal Matrix was mined in western Queensland. near the town of Winton.
Fairy Opal is the name given to natural sandstone opal matrix (sandstone with speaks of opal colour) that has been cooked and burnt with cooking oil to blacken the sandstone, which in turn, makes it easier to see the opal colours.
We only sell natural Solid Australian Opals, that are millions of years old. We do not sell man-made Opal such as a Opal Doublet, Opal Triplet, or Synthetic Opal.
The Opal Pendant comes with an 18" silver chain and is packaged in a high quality jewellery box, to help make a great first impression.
