The Opal is a solid natural Sandstone Opal Matrix shaped and polished into a round planet like shape Beautiful red, green and purple opal colours flicker through the sandstone making a delightful sprinkling of gorgeous opal colours.
This stunning Opal was mined in Western Queensland, near the Town of Winton.
Fairy Opal is the name given to natural sandstone opal matrix (sandstone with speaks of opal colour) that has been cooked and burnt with cooking oil to blacken the sandstone, which in turn, makes it easier to see the opal colours.
A certificate of authenticity from the Opal Association of Australia stating that the opal in the pendant is a Solid Australian Opal is included.
We only sell natural Solid Australian Opals, that are millions of years old. We do not sell man-made Opal such as a Opal Doublet, Opal Triplet, or Synthetic Opal.
